What started merely as a steel trading company in 1981 hasemerged today as one of the biggest conglomerate in North East India.

Topcem Cement is a leading cement brand in the entire North East India which is now spreading its wings to other Eastern markets such as West Bengal and Bihar. Lohia group is one of the major players in steel manufacturing in the region and has its facilities in Meghalaya, Tripura and Jharkhand.

The group was the first manufacturer of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks in the North East. It is marketed under the brand name Brikolite AAC Blocks. The group is also involved in the production of Ferro Alloys and Industrial Oxygen.

Subham Group, a unit of Lohia Group is a premier developer of residential and commercial complexes across the North East. It is known for its innovations, time-bound projects, and after-sale customer service.

Lohia Group had set its foot in the food processing sector in the recent years. Their first venture in this sector was acquiring one of the finest orthodox producing tea garden. Recently, the Group ventured into manufacturing jaggery at low temperature, which is the most modern and hygienic way of producing jaggery.

With the aim of providing environmentally friendly kraft papers, Lohia Group took the initiative of instituting Eco Tech Papers in 2014. With an operational output of 84000 TPA, it is the biggest producer of kraft paper in this region.

Besides the above, Lohia Group is proudly associated with Delhi Public School Guwahati, a premier residential school and with PRP Buildmart, which has the biggest retail showroom in North East showcasing a wide variety of tiles, sanitary ware, lights, etc. In the recent years, the group had also ventured into the automobile segment, as a dealer for Hyundai passenger cars.

Among his notable charitable endeavors in recent years are the construction of the Radiology department Marwari Hospital, the renovation of Lion's Eye Hospital's auditorium, the renovation of the office area of Assam Sahitya Sabha, and the construction of a public toilet in association with the Lions Club, Guwahati. Besides this he is associated with a lot of organizations and is actively involved in various social works.
