With 33 centres across 21 cities, Mikro Grafeio is committed to providing dependable, fully-managed workspace and workforce solutions and is poised for 10x growth in centres by 2025. Excerpts of an interview with Mr. Santosh Mahalingam, CEO Mikro Grafeio.
1. Please tell us about your business and what makes you stand out from the rest.
Mikro Grafeio is a social impact startup that helps organizations set up or expand operations by providing office spaces in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With our integrated workspace and workforce solutions, we help identify, recruit, train and deploy the right local talent.
In the last one year, we have been able to check the migration of people from smaller towns to cities in search of jobs by providing them with jobs locally. We have helped over 1000 employees from 50 companies work from high-quality office spaces in Trichy, Madurai, Kochi, Salem, Coimbatore, Trivandrum, Mysore and the like, and the key cities in India.
Must add here that our biggest success so far has been in Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, where we helped a global IT MNC set up a Centre of Excellence, which included support for infrastructure, workspace & workforce management and support for smooth operations.
2. How many locations are you currently in, and what are your future expansion plans?
We are currently present across 21 cities/ towns across the country with more than 33 centres. We aim to spread across 12 more towns by the end of 2023. Our aim is to provide dependable, integrated, fully-managed workspace and workforce solutions, which is more than just a place to work. We also hope to train the right candidates and make them job ready while supporting businesses to set up a base.
3. What has been your year-on-year growth?
We started our operations in October 2021 and have grown to 21 cities and 33 centres now. Our aim is 10x growth in centres by year-end 2025.
4. Any specialized services you are looking at, including moving forward?
Our ‘Office Plus’ solution helps organizations to provide passes to their employees to access any of our workspaces to work from. We provide a smart dashboard to view the employees’ office space usage. We are also about to launch our collaborative workspace solutions that include work from micro-breweries and other hospitality hubs. It's sure to help the creative juices flow.
