The journey from Scrap to Stock Market

Hritesh and Priti

If the capital is less, but the vision is big, how one can reach from zero to the top? Hritesh and Priti from Jodhpur have shown it.

Not only this, it is the first such company in the state to make handicrafts from waste and has completed its journey of getting listed in the stock market. They have currently spread their business in over 40 countries, which gives them a turnover of about 60 crores and are heading in full swing to achieve 200 crores by 2024. Their items are in huge demand in the European countries.

Priti International Ltd. has seen impressive net income growth of 25 per cent over the last five years. The company is reinvesting a massive chunk of its profits at a high rate of return. This, of course, has caused the company to see substantial growth in its earnings.

Hritesh started a handicraft and international furniture business in 2005 but failed initially. He tried his luck again by establishing other businesses such as stone cutting, washing powder, and chemical factories, but he was unsatisfied with all of them. So he and his wife, Priti, began brainstorming the idea of making handicraft items out of waste and posted pictures on their website. They received their first order from Denmark within a few days. Due to losses in their previous business, they could not purchase the items for the order. He borrowed money from a friend and finished the first order. Very soon, the demand for handicraft items began to rise internationally.

Hritesh now manufactures domestic products and operates three large production units under the name "Priti International Ltd.". Textile waste, plastic bags, sacks waste, handicraft items made from bike, three-wheeler, and four-wheeler debris can be found in one factory, and furniture in the second and third factories. Hritesh mentioned that he creates dining tables, coffee stands from vehicles, railway, bus scrap parts and bedsheets and chair covers from sacks. Their business model should serve as an inspiration to the younger generation.
