Today's youth is the future that will make this world a better place. A lot of youngsters have a great interest in social issues, politics and world problems. The ones who really want to do something are now youth leaders. One such youth from India who decided to become a politician and work for the nation's progress is Ajay Sharma. Last year, Ajay joined NSUI and had been working hard every day since then. He hails from Uttarakhand's Haldwani and has made people from his city proud with his work.

The NSUI leader is 24 but quite a visionary who wants to bring significant changes and help people in any way he can. Last year, Sharma was a part of social campaigns that were held at Delhi University. Through these campaigns, Ajay Sharma had spread awareness about safety measures that need to be taken. He helped people with food, clothing, masks and sanitisers during the lockdown.

Ajay Sharma says that he always had a major interest in the subjects of sociology and political science. He loves his country and would do anything to help the nation's name be celebrated worldwide. The NSUI leader wants more and more young minds like him to join politics.

Says Ajay Sharma, "When I decided to enter politics, I knew what my goals were. As today's youth and India's future politicians, we have a lot to do. We know what our generation wants and the changes that are needed to be implemented. A lot of youngsters have the qualities of a politician in them. We saw during lockdown how many young people stepped out of the house to help the underprivileged with food, water, masks and sanitisers. Some even made sure the stray dogs and cats were fed. These are small but kind acts and gestures. So I want to encourage more and more young minds to be a politician, and I hope my work will inspire them."
