Anjali was killed by her husband Mintu Singh on May 24 and the latter chopped her body into three pieces and threw the head into the creek. The Naigaon police, with the help of a forensic team, have discovered bloodstains at Singh’s rented house in Naigaon.

Singh confessed to the cops that he had killed Anjali as he suspected her of having an affair. He also spoke about the weapons he used to carry out the crime.
On Wednesday morning, the Naigaon police ventured into the creek in a speed boat to recover the head. After a two-hour search operation involving two professional divers, the police didn’t find anything. However, they said that they would continue the search operation.

DCP Jayant Bajbale said, “We took the help of divers to search for the head in the creek on Wednesday. We haven’t got any leads. The search operation will continue. A forensic team found bloodstains in the house.”
