The Elphinstone Bridge, connecting Parel and Prabhadevi, will be shut for vehicular traffic on Friday at 9 pm. The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a final closure notification in this regard.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumbhare confirmed the development with mid-day.com.
"Suggestions were invited from citizens on the draft notification published on April 8. The feedback and suggestions received from citizens have been duly considered and incorporated, wherever appropriate in the final traffic management order," a note stated.

One ambulance has been made available at Prabhadevi Railway Station West Railway Footbridge and another at Parel Railway Station East. Also, wheelchairs have been arranged for patients along with the ambulances.
The following orders regarding traffic management will come into force from Friday 9 pm:
For vehicular traffic from East to West
1) Vehicles going to Dadar West and Dadar Market from Dadar East may take Tilak Bridge.
2) Vehicles travelling from Parel East to Prabhadevi and Lower Parel may use the Currey Road Bridge (7am to 3pm).
3) Vehicles going from Parel and Byculla East towards Prabhadevi, Worli, Coastal Road and Sea Link may take the Chinchpokli Bridge.
For vehicular traffic from West to East
1) Vehicles travelling from Dadar West to Dadar East may use the Tilak Bridge.
2) Vehicles coming from Prabhadevi and Lower Parel towards Parel, TATA Hospital, and KEM Hospital may use the Currey Road Bridge (3 pm to 11 pm)
3) Vehicles travelling from Coastal Road, Sea Link, Prabhadevi and Worli towards Parel, Byculla East may use the Chinchpokli Bridge.
