Hong Kong-bound Qatar Airways flight from Doha diverted to Ahmedabad airport

According to Qatar Airways' website, the rescheduled departure for Hong Kong from Ahmedabad's Terminal 2 is expected to be at 5:30 pm, subject to a full inspection of the aircraft

A Qatar Airways flight bound for Hong Kong was diverted to Ahmedabad in Gujarat on Tuesday afternoon after it developed technical issues mid-air, officials said, reported the PTI.

Flight QR816, which took off from Hamad International Airport in Doha at around 9 am, was rerouted to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad as a precautionary measure. The plane landed safely at approximately 2:40 pm, according to airport officials.
