Pakistan PM Sharif’s interview with Al Arabiya gained limelight for his remarks regarding India. He said that Pakistan learnt its lessons and wars with India brought miseries and poverty to the country. Shehbaz Sharif also urged PM Modi to have a ‘sincere talk’ on burning issues like Kashmir. Later, PM Shehbaz Sharif backtracked from his statements and issued a clarification. Pakistan PMO issued statements after media started reporting PM Sharif’s views on India. “The Prime Minister has repeatedly stated on record that talks can only take place after India has reversed its illegal action of August 5, 2019.
