Gold is based on the life of a sportsman who was a part of the Hockey team that won the Olympic medal for India post independence for the first time at the Games of the XIV Olympiad, London in 1948. It is all set to release on the 15th August 2018
Gold traces the journey of Tapan Das (played by Akshay Kumar) an assistant manager, who dreams to get a gold medal for the then newly-independent India. The sports drama starring takes the audience back in time to witness the struggle of a team to make the nation proud.
