The late actor Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor in a chat with mid-day said, "This is a special moment for us. The Film Division has chosen to screen some of her finest work on her birth anniversary. The family is grateful for this tribute. Her legacy lives on."

Janhvi Kapoor had shared an adorable picture with her parents Sridevi and Boney Kapoor on the occasion of her mother's birth anniversary. The 21-year-old took to her Instagram account to post a childhood picture of her as a child in her mom's arms.
Sridevi passed away on February 24 in Dubai, where she went to attend a family wedding. The late actor would have turned 55 today (August 13). The Padma Shri recipient passed away in Dubai on February 25 due to cardiac arrest. Sridevi was there to attend the marriage function of actress Sonam Kapoor's cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi.

Born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963, Sridevi was known for her iconic roles in Hindi movies like Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, 'Nagina, Sadma, and many more.

The Padma Shri awardee Sridevi had also made a mark with her stellar performances in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films. Sridevi, who made a comeback to Bollywood in 2012 with English Vinglish after a long break of 15 years, was last seen in Mom in 2017.

Earlier in May, Boney Kapoor with daughters Janhvi and Khushi accepted the National Award from President Ram Nath Kovind for Sridevi, who was posthumously honoured the Best Actress award for her film Mom.
