With Shoshti (sixth day of Navratri and the first day of Durga Puja), Bengalis began their mega celebrations of Durga Puja festival. Kajol, as every year, was at North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja where she turned up to seek blessings of goddess Maa Durga along with her mother Tanuja and sister Tanishaa Mukerji. The North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, known as one of the oldest Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai, have been organising the Puja over past 71 years. Sharing her feeling attending Durg puja, Kajol told IANS, "We are ardent followers of Ma Durga and we celebrate the Navratri festival with joy and passion. I think Ma is biggest among all. We have a lot of fun celebrating this festival and we do service to her diligently over these nine days."
This picture was clicked on Maha Asthami of Durga Puja. Cousins - Rani Mukerji and Kajol were seen bonding big time during the celebrations.
Rani Mukerji kick-started the promotional activity of her upcoming film Mardaani 2 during the Durga Puja Festival. "I feel glad that we released the first look and the teaser of Mardaani 2 during Durga Puja festival. During this festival, we worship Ma Durga, who is known as a symbol of strength and there is an essence of Ma Durga in 'Mardaani 2,' so I feel happy that we communicated with the audience for the first time for 'Mardaani 2' during Durga Puja festival," said Rani.

If Kajol was present at the mandap of the Juhu Puja, right from the occasion of Maha Soshti puja, Sunday was the day of Maha Ashtami when veteran actress Jaya Bachchan (who is a Bengali by birth) along with her megastar husband Amitabh Bachchan turned up.

Asked what she asked for from the deity in her prayers, Kajol said, "I never ask anything from Goddess Durga. Whenever I visit a temple or seek blessing of any god I feel, more than asking for anything, we should be grateful for whatever they have given us."

North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samity located in Juhu is a hub where the who's who of Bollywood drop by, to offer prayers to the goddess and have bhog prasad. Like every year, this year too, the Puja has seen its sprinkle of starry presence. Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt were clicked together Maha Navami.
Alia Bhatt was seen mingling with TV actress Sumona Chakravarti and Sharbani Mukherjee.
Rani Mukerji's brother Raja Mukerji was seen after a really long time, as he too joined the celebrations. Seen in this picture are Raja Mukerji with cousins Tanishaa and Kajol.
This pandal grabs a lot of eyeballs of the commoners because a major highlight is celebrities often serving the traditional Bengali bhog to devotees. Like every year, this time too, Tanishaa Mukerji and Kajol joined in serving bhog prasad to the devotees present at the pandal.
Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan Mukerji's best friend, too graced the pandal on Maha Navami!
On the last day, Bijoya Dashami, Bipasha Basu dressed in white and red sari indulged in 'sindoor khela' with her sisters and family.
As can be seen in the picture, Ayan Mukerji, Natasha Poonawalla, Karan Johar, Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol and Rani Mukerji indulged in the playful smearing of vermilion on each other's face inside the pandal, before Ma Durga's idol was to be taken away for immersion.
A dash of Bollywood only adds to the colours in Mumbai during the season of the Pujas. In picture: Kajol clicks a selfie with her close friend Karan Johar after sindoor khela!
Tanishaa Mukerji shared this lovely picture with her cousin Rani Mukerji and wrote alongside: This is us! (with emoticons of hearts and kisses).
Ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, who is a dear friend of Rani Mukerji, also joined in the celebrations on the last day of Durga Puja. Sumona Chakravarty shared this picture on her Instagram stories and the ladies simply look beautiful after participating in the customary 'sindoor khela'.
After smearing each other with red vermillion, this Bollywood gang posed for a group picture.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan and mother Vrinda Rai attended Vijaya Dashami celebrations at Ramkrishna Mission Math, Khar, Mumbai. Aish also took to her Instagram account to wish her fans on the occasion of Dussehra and Vijaya Dashami and wrote, "Happy Dussehra and Vijaya Dashami to ALL Much warmth, love and happiness God Bless [sic]."
Meanwhile, Dia Mirza celebrated the Navratri festival in Indore. She posted a video, where she was seen playing Dandiya and wrote alongside: May good always triumph over evil! Celebrating the good in us all and the shakti within #HappyDussehra
Shilpa Shetty, as every year ritual, hosted a 'Kanya Bhojan' at her residence. As can be seen in the picture, the Shetty sisters - Shilpa and Shamita are serving food to little girls.
