Eid Mubarak! How actors celebrated the festival this year amid lockdown

    On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to extend Eid wishes to their fans during the lockdown. Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramzan, which is a month of fasting and prayer for the Muslim community. This year, Eid is being celebrated amid a nationwide lockdown imposed as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.

  • Sara Ali Khan

    Wishing her fans Eid Mubarak, actress Sara Ali Khan treated them with a childhood picture that shows her head covered with a pink veil. She also uploaded an image where she sports a black dupatta as she tries to replicate her younger self. "Eid Mubarak. #StaySafe #StayHome #StayPositive," she wrote on Instagram.

    Mouni Roy shared a video with cute little kids around her, perhaps her family members, and wishing everyone on the occasion, she said, "May God always bless you with peace, happiness and prosperity. Eid Mubarak, guys!"

    Hina Khan posted loads of Instagram stories. First, she shared her picture (R) wishing 'Chand Mubarak'. She later shared pictures of a few preparations of delicacies - Hyderabadi Biryani was one of them. Later, Hina shared a picture with her father (L) captioning it - 'Daddy Cool'.

    Shruti Seth, who is married to filmmaker Danish Aslam, posted this pretty picture with her husband, daughter and wished everyone. "Eid Mubarak! From our home to yours. Stay home, stay safe!" read Shruti's caption.

    Ananya Panday seems to have shared a throwback boomerang for the occasion. She looked gorgeous in the traditional outfit and wrote this on her Instagram post- "Eid Mubarak. sending everyone lots of love, good energy, peace and a BIG virtual hug," [sic] that was followed by a heart!

    Shraddha Kapoor took to Instagram to post a video of herself from her film Street Dancer to wish her fans. In the video, Kapoor is seen reading the Namaz and she captioned it, "Eid Mubarak."

    Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, on the other hand, posted a picture from one of her photoshoots in which she is channelizing her inner Anarkali dressed in the traditional attire. "Eid Mubarak my brothers and sisters, may this years trials and tribulations become foundations of a better tomorrow. Thank you for praying for us this whole holy month of Ramazan.
