Prime Minister Narendra Modi is respected as a prominent global leader by the likes of other powerful world leaders such as United States President Donald Trump, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to name a few.

In January 2017, Portugal PM Antonio Costa, who was on an official visit to India presented PM Narendra Modi, Portugal football team's jersey which was autographed by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the legends of modern-day football. While sharing the picture with his fans and followers, PM Modi said, "Sports is an area that holds great promise as far as India-Portugal ties are concerned."
On his visit to Indonesia in May 2018, PM Narendra Modi was seen flying kites with President Joko Widodo as the two inaugurated a unique kite exhibition in Jakarta. According to PM Narendra Modi on his social media post, the unique exhibition showcased kites themed on the epic literature of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
In 2014, after taking oath as the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi visited Australia where he met his Australian counterpart and former PM Tony Abbott. Incidentally, Narendra Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister in 28 years to visit Australia. In one of their interactions PM Abbott and PM Narendra Modi also turned photographers for small kids who posed with their mothers for a picture.
In 2017, Narendra Modi an official trip to the USA was warmly welcomed by American President Donald Trump.

During his visit to Germany in April 2015, Narendra Modi met Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany. Sharing a leaf out of his fruitful visit, PM Modi seemed to be in awe of the innovative technology which was on display during the former's visit to Hannover, Germany. PM Modi also inaugurated the Hannover Messe jointly with German Chancellor Angela Merkel where India was the partner country. While sharing another leaf out of his meeting with Merkel, PM Modi in his captioned said that it is always a delight to meet an enlightened leader like Chancellor Merkel.
On his official visit to the neighbouring country, Bangladesh in April 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi enjoyed a car ride with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The two visited Manekshaw Centre to honour the martyrs of the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

As a global leader, on his trips to various countries, Narendra Modi always embraces local cultures and traditions with open arms. On his trip to Kyrgyzstan in June 2019, Modi was presented with Kalpak, the traditional Kyrgyz hat, a Chapan, a traditional coat from Kyrgyzstan and a Samovar, a container used to heat or boil water. While sharing the picture on Instagram, Narendra Modi wrote: I will cherish these, which are closely associated with the culture of Kyrgyzstan.
Narendra Modi visited Russia and struck a good relationship with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Modi and Vladimir Putin also met each other at the SCO Summit which took place in Bishkek in June 2019.

When President Moon Jae-in of South Korea visited India in July 2018, PM Narendra Modi took him on for a tour of Delhi on the Delhi metro. In the picture, Narendra Modi is seen waving at the crowd as he travels with President Moon Jae-in of South Korea on-board the world-class Delhi Metro.
Taking to Instagram, PM Narendra Modi shared inside pictures of a productive Informal Summit which took place at Wuhan in China in April 2018. Narendra Modi also went on to share photos of him sipping on a cup of tea along with President Xi Jinping further extending relations. Narendra Modi thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping for his hospitality.

During his 2018 historic trip to Sweden, Narendra Modi was seen interacting with Stefan Lofven, Prime Minister of Sweden, as the two focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.

During his visit to India in January 2018, Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu was taken on a chopper ride by PM Narendra Modi as the latter was delighted to host his Israeli counterpart in India. During their chopper journey, the two Prime Minister's were seen sharing a candid conversation as PM Modi was seen patiently listening to his Israeli counterpart.
