    Maharashtra reported a massive surge of 1,602 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday as the cumulative tally breached the 27,000 - mark to reach 27,524. Over 40 new deaths were reported, breaching the 1,000-mark. The total number of fatalities stood at 1,019.
