    Heavy rain lashed Mumbai on Saturday and vehicles had to wade through flooded roads after they were severely waterlogged at Andheri East. Mumbai received a bout of heavy rainfall following the onset of the southwest monsoon and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) declared the onset of the monsoon over Mumbai, the adjoining Thane-Konkan areas, Ahmednagar, Parbhani and other parts of Maharashtra.
