The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a notice to Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra for allegedly carrying out illegal constructions at her spa and salon in suburban Oshiwara in Mumbai. A civic official said the BMC had received complaints of alleged irregularities in construction of Charishma Beauty Spa and Salon, owned by the actor. The spa was also found to have non-permissible glass cabin walls and illegal amalgamation of rooms or premises. The incident happened in July 2018
BMC served a notice to Anushka Sharma based on a complaint by a resident of the housing society for installation of an electric junction box in the common passage area of her building in Mumbai's western suburbs. Anushka Sharma, then, residing on the 20th floor of Badrinath Tower housing society in suburban Versova, however, denied any wrongdoing. The Bollywood actress-producer was then given a clean chit by the civic body. The incident happened in July 2017

The BMC inspected Rani Mukerji's Juhu bungalow, KrishnaRam, over allegations of illegal alterations. According to BMC records available on the AutoDCR website, Mukerji was granted a commencement certificate (CC) to make additions and alterations to KrishnaRam bungalow in 2014, with validity until November 2015. Activists alleged that even though the CC expired, work continues at the premises. The bungalow is a ground+1 structure with a basement, and activists have alleged that its height has been raised in violation of the plans approved by civic authorities
