Shweta Bachchan Nanda has turned a fashion designer now. She has announced her newest adventure, MxS, which is positioned as pret label with a tagline: Fashion Just Got Fancier.
Shweta Bachchan Nanda reached out to Monisha Jaising - best known to celebrate the extrovert nature of fanciful dressing - to create an outfit for a common friend's 50th birthday. After a few interactions between the two, the final outfit was born - an athleisure-spirited pair of trousers and a bomber-inspired oversized shirt, both embellished in Jaising's signature interplay of sequin and sheer.
Preity Zinta was also clicked at a salon in Khar, Mumbai. Donned a pretty pink and red ethnic wear, the actress was spotted juggling with her dupatta when snapped by the paparazzi.
Preity Zinta says if female actors devote as much time as their male counterparts to the film career, it would be possible for heroines to have a longer shelf-life. The 44-year-old actor said the fact that the society is still patriarchal makes it tough for women to pursue their careers and same is the case with movie stars.
Preity Zinta also believes the approach towards women has changed both on- and off-screen today. "Who would have thought Veere Di Wedding with all women do Rs 90 crore (business)? Nobody. It is the most exciting time for an actor like me as well. There are interesting roles out there and I would not like to do what I did 20 years ago. I want to grow and do progressive roles."
