Mumbai Family court on Monday granted divorce to Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur. The couple is officially separated now.
Sunjay Kapoor seen leaving in his car. Speaking to mid-day Sunjay's lawyer Aman Hingorani said, "We informed the Family court about matter being resolved amicably at Supreme Court and also that the terms are settled. The court then granted divorce to the couple."
Karisma Kapoor's lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani told mid-day last time after the matter was in Supreme Court, "Both parties have amicably resolved the matter. The financial and custody terms have also been settled."
Karisma's lawyer further stated that the couple's children — Samaira and Kiaan — will be under Karisma's care, but Sunjay will have access to them for two weekends during vacations.
Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor married in 2003. They decided to file for divorce through mutual consent in 2014, but withdrew the petition after Karisma alleged that Sunjay had failed to comply with the financial commitments mentioned in the terms of consent
