Karan looked dapper in his brown jacket with a white tee and blue denim. Karan is the third generation of the family to foray into the movies after his grandfather Dharmendra and father Sunny Deol.
Sunny gave his son competition in the fashion department. The Gadar actor sported a green blazer and a black shirt which he teamed up with denim. The film's name Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is taken from a song that featured in Karan's grandfather, Dharmendra's film, Blackmail (1973).
Sahher Bambba looked beautiful in her shimmery dress which she paired with a pair of long heels. Sahher is also making a debut in Bollywood with this film. Speaking at the teaser launch of the movie, Sunny said that he was really emotional to watch his son prep for his big Bollywood debut.
Speaking to IANS, Sunny said, "It is a very emotional moment for me to see my son Karan make his debut on the big screen". The actor-turned-politician also said, "I hope the audience appreciates him and showers him with the same kind of love that they have given me for so many years". Sunny has turned director for his son's debut flick.
The trio was joined by Kareena Kapoor Khan on the sets. Kareena is one of the judges of the dance reality show, with the other two judges being Raftaar and Bosco Martis. Kareena looked beyond adorable in her black front wrap dress.
Karan Deol was delighted to shake a leg with Kareena Kapoor. Posting pictures from the sets, he wrote, "What better way to kickstart the promotions then being on the sets of one of your favourite actresses of all time (sic)."
Sahher Bambba also expressed her happiness through social media. The debutant wrote, "Poo!! no better way to commence our promotions!."
The teaser of the movie was launched on August 5, coinciding with the 36th anniversary of the release of Sunny's debut film, Betaab (1983). "The date has been special for me", Deol said, hoping that it will bring the same good fortune to his son as it did to him. "We thought that it would be interesting to release the teaser on the same day. I would be lying if I said I am not nervous, but it's a feeling that any father would harbour when his son is taking his first big leap."
However, papa Deol admits that juggling the dual role of a director and father can be unnerving. "For any father whose son is starting out, it's normal to feel nervous. It's not difficult for me to direct him; I have to work hard with him, just like I would have to with any other newcomer," he said in an exclusive interview with mid-day.
The proud father added that despite being a newcomer, Karan's choices display a sense of maturity that belies his young age. "None of my kids want to learn martial arts, build six-pack abs or learn a certain kind of dancing. These are tools for an actor, but they aren't a necessity. Karan wants to be an actor first, he wants to attain stardom by delivering successful films."
Set in Himachal Pradesh, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a love story about finding the emotion for the first time - with all its innocence, doubts and complexities. The movie will introduce two fresh faces - Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba. The film is slated to release on September 20. We wish the actors all the best for the film!
