Taimur Ali Khan spotted visiting grandmother Babita Kapoor in Bandra, Mumbai. Taimur looked super-adorable in an orange t-shirt, green shorts and black loafers. Mom Kareena Kapoor Khan recently revealed during a media interaction that she initially planned to shoot for Veere Di Wedding when she was pregnant but the lack of maternity insurance for actresses in India made her choose otherwise. While Kareena Kapoor Khan asked the makers of Veere Di Wedding to approach someone else for her part, they waited for her. "Rhea Kapoor wanted me on board, even if it meant delaying the film by another year. No one ever put any pressure on me. I knew I would take time to resume because I had to be with Taimur. I returned to the set in Delhi over six months after delivery," Kareena says. Pictured: Taimur Ali Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan stresses that like the makers of Veere Di Wedding, others in Bollywood also need to be more accommodating of women who choose motherhood. "This team supported a new mother so well. If I had a night shoot, they didn't call me for the next 12 hours so that I could be with Taimur. And in case of a morning schedule, they'd let me off early." Pictured: Taimur Ali Khan
It's not easy to rival Kareena Kapoor Khan's stardom. But at 15 months, son Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi gives her stiff competition - he is often labelled the national sensation with his pictures and memes continuously doing the rounds. While grandfather Randhir Kapoor has voiced his displeasure on the constant scrutiny Taimur is subjected to, Kareena is far from being offended by the social media obsession
"Saif [Ali Khan, husband] and I discuss that our baby is bringing a smile to everyone's face. We see it in a positive light and move on," Kareena Kapoor Khan reasons. Well aware of her own, and now, her son Taimur Ali Khan's soaring popularity, she quips, "People around are unsure whether they should address me as a superstar or the mother of the country's youngest superstar"
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have time and again stated that they want Taimur to grow up being accustomed to the paparazzi. However, Kareena's maternal streak comes to the fore when she admits that sometimes, the hoopla around her tiny tot gets too much to handle
"Frankly, I am paranoid. So much attention on him is scary. The more I think of it, the more I want to put a kaala teeka on him. I don't want him to leave the house. But that's me going overboard. I control my feelings only so that my son can grow up like a regular kid. He deserves to have that chance sans any pressure," says Kareena Kapoor Khan. Pictured: Taimur Ali Khan
Taimur Ali Khan was born to Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan on December 20th, 2016. He had a grand first birthday bash at the Pataudi Palace with family members, which was hosted by aunt Karisma Kapoor, who shared several pictures of the celebrations on Instagram. Taimur's half-sister Sara Ali Khan will soon make her Bollywood debut this year with Kedarnath and is also slated to star opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty's upcoming directorial Simmba
