Akashdeep Saigal started his career in showbiz by winning the Gladrags Manhunt Contestant, supermodel of the year in 1998. The same year, he also appeared in Shweta Shetty's music video 'Deewane Toh Deewane Hain'.
Akashdeep Saigal made his Bollywood debut with 'Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi' in 1999. In 2003, he appeared in Uday Chopra-starrer Supari.
Akashdeep Saigal made his debut on small screen with Ekta Kapoor's popular serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' in the year 2004.
Akashdeep Saigal gained popularity after he played Ansh Gujral in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Owing to the fresh popularity, Akashdeep Saigal participated in the first season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' as well as 'Fear Factor India', both in 2006.
Akashdeep Saigal even tried his luck in South films. He played the role of a villain in Tamil film 'Ayan' in 2009.
After doing small roles in daily soaps, Akashdeep Saigal went on to participate in popular reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' (season 5).
Akashdeep made headlines when he got into an ugly spat with Salman Khan on the show and later reportedly accused him of destroying his career.

In April 2018, Bandra police had booked actor Akashdeep Saigal and his relatives for allegedly assaulting autorickshaw drivers. The actor too had filed a cross FIR against two auto rickshaw drivers. According to a report, the actor and two of his relatives had an argument with two auto drivers over a one-way near Gaiety Galaxy, Bandra. The auto rickshaw drivers claimed that Saigal and his two relatives assaulted and abused them. One of the autorickshaw drivers, Shabbir Wahab, in his complaint said that the actor claimed it was a one-way and rickshaws were not allowed there. Suddenly one of Saigal's relatives came with a stick and assaulted them and kicked them. The two drivers were admitted in Bhabha Hospital.
