Banker-turned-politician Meera Sanyal died on January 11, 2019, after a brief illness. Sanyal, 57, had joined the Aam Aadmi Party after quitting her job as the country chief executive of Royal Bank of Scotland and contested the Lok Sabha election in 2014. Veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna passed away after battling bladder cancer at the age of 70 in Mumbai on April 27, 2017.
