Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on December 22 mocked MPs of Bharatiya Janata Party over Parliament Security Breach incident. He said that the two youths, carrying smoke canisters jumped into the Lok Sabha, earlier this month because they were jobless. The security breach happened on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack. Two people--Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D--jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour, released yellow gas from canisters, and shouted anti-establishment slogans before being overpowered by the MPs.

BJP begins parliamentary meeting to discuss strategy for monsoon session

A parliamentary party meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) began on July 25 morning to chalk out the strategy for the Monsoon Session of the Lok Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishanaw among others were seen arriving for the meeting that began at 9:30 am. The meeting had been convened to discuss crucial organizational matters with party MPs. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on July 24 amidst uproarious scenes with the Opposition demanding a statement by the prime minister on the violence in Manipur. The first two days of last week's monsoon session saw a similar ruckus leading to nearly zero functioning of Parliament.
