All eyes were on Sachin Tendulkar yesterday as he walked out in the middle for a practice session at the Wankhede Stadium ahead of defending champions Mumbai's Ranji Trophy opener against Haryana at Lahli from Sunday.
For Tendulkar, who will retire after his 200th Test against the West Indies next month, this will be his last first-class match. The record-breaking batsman had a net session with medium pacers for around 45 minutes.

He then had a light knocking session with a support staff member. His close friend and Mumbai selector Paras Mhambrey was also present during the session.
The batting maestro later played mentor to young net bowlers who went up to him for advice. He was also seen discussing the seating arrangements with MCA officials for his family and friends, who will come to watch his farewell Test from November 14-18.
It is a momentous occasion for Tendulkar’s Mumbai teammates too. Veteran Wasim Jaffer said: “It is like experiencing what it would have been during the Don Bradman era.

Ranji shifted to BKC
The Mumbai Cricket Association has decided to shift the Mumbai versus Delhi Ranji Trophy tie to its Bandra Kurla Complex ground. The match is coinciding with Tendulkar’s 200th Test against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium from November 14.u00a0
