I met him in the final year of college. We weren’t close at first... I was busy with NSS and surrounded by friends. To me, he was just another face, until that rose day. He gave me a rose in the most unexpected way, and in that single moment, my heart felt something new. It was as if time paused just for us. I couldn’t explain it, but I knew something beautiful had begun. Since then, our journey has been filled with soft smiles, playful moments, and quiet understanding. Even in silence, we speak through our eyes. With him, everything feels a little more magical. When I’m by his side, I don’t just live life... I fall in love with it a little more every day.

Powai. After office, on a Friday evening, when I hurriedly dashed into Dmart to buy snacks for my all-boys party later that night, I happened to bump into a girl all decked up, stealing my senses and making me forget what I was there for.I mustered the courage and asked why she was waiting alone, and it turned out she wasn’t getting an auto. To my luck, I had a car that day and offered her a ride to a nearby spot to get an auto. We exchanged numbers and Instagram handles and the rest is history. We’ve been married for four years now, with loads of trips lined up.

Ours is a perfect masala movie story of a Muslim boy meets Hindu girl in 2003 at workplace.Simple girl wanted no complications in life so she was trying to avoid this boy, but when she got to know he is already engaged, she felt safe to be friends.In some tragic turn of events, he broke with his love, she lost her parents and the pain brought them closer. But Girl was not ready and Boy was not ready to give up on girl so everything that happened made life impossible. Somehow, the day came...we had court marriage in 2012.Life has been pretty challenging through and through...be it extended family, zaalim duniya, judging mentality, religion bias etc.But what was always steady was our love and respect for each other, our feelings for each other. Growing together has made us grow strong and still madly in love after 14 years of marriage.Looking back at all the challenges...my heart says..it was worth it...!
