Mid-day Garden Audit 2018: BMC bows to citizens' demands to keep parks open from 6 am to 9 pm

mid-day felt the need to audit the prominent gardens in Mumbai after a little girl fell of a horse in Cooperage garden and died some months back. Thus as a concluding part of the garden audit series, Mid-day organized a round-table discussion, which basically was a culmination of the garden audit series. The idea was to bring together all the stakeholders on one platform - Civic authorities, political representatives, open space activists and the citizens. The panel consisted of senior civic officials such as Kishor Kshirsagar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner in charge of gardens, Asif Zakaria, Congress corporator, and environmentalist Rishi Agarwal. Mid-day's round-table discussion aimed at getting some answers to the problems this city's open spaces are facing. Watch this video to know more.
