Rizvi Springfield, Bandra opted for a more watchful and sedate approach instead of an attacking one in the semi-finals against IES VN Sule Guruji, Dadar in Harris Shield inter-school cricket tournament played at Cross Maidan. Batting first, the defending champions reached a competitive total of 276 for 3 on day one with Armaan Jaffer registering yet another ton under his name. He remained unbeaten on 175 at stumps.
However, it was Satya Laksh Jain who started the innings in a watchful manner. So adamant was the opener on blocking everything that came his way that he didn’t even care to score off the loose deliveries. Though he managed to score just 19 runs, the Jain’s stay on the pitch lasted for a total of 178 minutes where he faced 121 balls during his stint.
