Teachers clash with police, strike enters third month

Hundreds of teachers protested in Peru's capital Lima demanding a salary hike and better working conditions. They are also demanding the abolishment of an education reform law. The nationwide strike entered its third month. One of the protestors said that teachers should be recognized and not trampled. Peru president, during his election campaign, had promised to increase the salary of teachers.
