This is how Western railway is planning to tackle the monsoons in Mumbai

Mid-day.com exclusively spoke to the General Manager of Western Railway in Mumbai, Mr A.K Gupta at his office neat Churchgate station. The General Manager told us how Western Railway is planning to tackle the monsoons in Mumbai. Since trains usually come to a standstill during a heavy downpour, Mr Gupta revealed how they plan to take rightful action this year. Right from decreasing the cess on the railway track, installing pumps at various locations and cleaning out the dirt and muck from the tracks, the Western Railway has some grand plans for the monsoon.
