Watch how hearing impaired students play music!

Vashi resident Arvin David, who runs music company Connect, has modified a wooden box to work as a vibration device, which picks up the vibration of the djembe through a wireless microphone. Since people with hearing loss have a heightened ability to feel vibrations, it can be used to tap this to get them to play the percussion instrument. Watch how the students of Prabhadevi's St Stephen High School for the Deaf and Aphasic are seen following David's cues during a workshop.
