College students lead clean-up drive at Mumbai`s Dadar Beach

The Vivekanand Education Society (VES) joined hands with Project Mumbai’s Jallosh initiative and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for the beach clean-up
The cleanup drive was led by 300 NSS students from various VES institutes, along with over 20 teachers and volunteers
A total of 2,070 kg of waste, including paper, plastic, cloth, and religious remnants, was collected from the beach during the clean-up drive
The cleanup drive revives beaches and instills environmental stewardship, responsibility, and active citizenship, said VES Secretary Rajesh Gehani
The students and institute raised awareness about the urgent need for cleaner beaches, responsible waste management, and ecological preservation
