There are three species of elephants – African Savanna, African Forest and Asian.

Elephants are the world’s largest land mammals. African elephants can weigh up to 6000 kilograms, and measure up to 3 metres in height.

One can distinguish between African and Asian elephants through their ears. African elephants have much larger ears than Asian elephants.
