Awestruck.
Awestruck gathers everything there is to do into one place and, instead of a list to scroll, hands each person the one or two things they will enjoy nearby. It is bootstrapped, growing fast, and chasing a market worth hundreds of billions.
MUMBAI, 28 May 2026.
Most people do far less with their free time than they could. Not for a lack of options, but because tracking down the right thing, and booking it, is more bother than a free hour seems to justify. So they fall back on the familiar, and a whole world of experiences slips quietly by.
Awestruck was built to fix that. It pulls the entire experience economy into a single place, from a theme park or a seaside resort to a quiet cafe, a comedy night, a spa morning or a class around the corner, the grand and the everyday alike. The idea is simple: something close to you that you will genuinely enjoy, filling anything from a spare ten minutes to a whole afternoon. This is the world's first AI for your free time.
Doing the actual thinking is an AI named "Awwee". You give it your mood, a budget and the company you are keeping, and rather than handing back a list to sift through, it offers a single well-judged option or two you will love nearby, then books them, all in under 60 seconds. The response people give most often is a kind of happy disbelief that the best part of their day or week was sitting minutes from their door.
Almost anyone has a use for it: a student with an empty afternoon, a couple after a change from the usual, friends who can never agree, a family short on ideas, a professional at the end of a hard week, or a traveler who arrived that morning somewhere unfamiliar. The need turns up at every hour, and for once there is a quick answer to it.
It also gets better the more it is used. Awwee studies what people ask for, what they pick and what they keep coming back to, sharpening its sense of what each person will like. And it only ever recommends what it believes you will love, never whatever a business has paid to push to the front.
The prize it is chasing is large. People around the world spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year on experiences, a figure rising by double digits, and the appetite has only grown since the pandemic. Awestruck itself was dreamt up in 2022 and built quietly, with no outside funding. More than 500 businesses from Mumbai had committed to it before it even went live, and it has grown sharply since.
Most platforms charge a business simply to be there, with listing fees, advertising and a cut of a fifth to a third on every booking. Awestruck charges none of that. A business pays nothing to join, nothing to advertise, and pays only when a real booking is made and the guest shows up. That one rule changes everything beneath it. A one-room studio and a famous brand stand on equal terms, ranked by how good they truly are and not by how much they can spend. What each person is shown comes from honest service reviews and from how deeply it has come to understand them, their personality, their mood, what they truly need and want. So the people who book are the right fit from the very start, which is why almost no one cancels and almost no one asks for a refund.
"Everyone is given the same free time, and almost no one has ever had real help making the most of it," says Pancham SN Bannerrjee, co-founder and chief executive. "We did not set out to build another place to search. We wanted something that understands you, and then quietly takes care of the rest. And if we get that right, we get to change what billions of people do with the most precious thing they have: their time.
"Most of what people long for are closer than they think, and they simply never had a way to find it," says Namrata Agrawal Banerji, co-founder and chief operating officer. "Our part in it is small, and we are glad it is: we come to understand a person, we make the introduction, and then we let the moment belong to them." Any business with something to offer can list with us and be found the same way.
The plans are anything but small. More cities are opening, online experiences are on the way, and the company wants Awestruck to be the first place anyone turns to with an hour, an evening or a whole day to spare. For most of us, the free time we are handed slips past on autopilot, on the same safe choices. Awestruck was built so that it does not have to be that way, so that the best of what surrounds us is finally within easy reach, for anyone, on any day they have time to fill customized as per their budget, mood, personality, needs, and desire.
