Aaishvary Thackeray

Interestingly, Aaishvary Thackeray is the grandson of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray and the son of Maharashtra politician Smita Thackeray. 

Despite coming from one of Maharashtra’s most prominent political families, Aaishvary Thackeray is creating his own path far from politics, stepping into Bollywood to build a unique identity.

Aaishvary Thackeray has been part of the film industry for years, however, behind the camera as an assistant director. He started his Bollywood journey assisting acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Bajirao Mastani (2015). 

Not many know that Aaishvary Thackeray is a talented mimic too. He can effortlessly imitate different accents and mannerisms, showcasing a natural flair.

He made his Bollywood debut with the gritty crime drama Nishaanchi, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. His striking looks and presence won hearts, leaving audiences eager for his next project.

Aaishvary Thackeray’s debut was also by industry veterans. Actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi praised him as “someone to watch out for,” ahead of Nishaanchi, heightening excitement and curiosity around his debut film.

In his debut film Nishaanchi, Aaishvary took on the challenge of playing dual roles. This drew comparisons with Hrithik Roshan, who was the last newcomer to pull off a double role in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai back in 2000, before Aaishvary.

After the teaser of Nishaanchi was released, many appreciated Aaishvary for his maturity, confidence, and commanding presence, terming him as “the man amongst the boys” even before his official Bollywood debut.

Apart from just acting in Nishaanchi, Aaishvary also lent his voice to the melodic 'Neend Bhi Teri' and composed the song 'Pigeon Kabootar', a track that has become a quirky fan favourite from the film.

Despite coming from a prominent and famous political family, Aaishvary Thackeray keeps a low profile on social media. His Instagram account is minimalistic, featuring only a handful of posts.

Aaishvary Thackeray has often been vocal about his admiration for Michael Jackson, crediting the King of Pop as a major influence on his dance and performance style. 

According to reports, Aaishvary Thackeray has already secured his next project. He has signed the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu romantic drama Baby directed by Sai Rajesh, even before his debut film Nishaanchi has released in theatres.
