In Jolly LLB 2 (2017), Akshay Kumar played Advocate Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly, a small-time, witty lawyer from Lucknow who takes on a high-profile case involving a hit-and-run accident. He is all set to reprise his role in Jolly LLB 3. 

Arshad Warsi portrays a lawyer named Jagdish Tyagi, also known as Jolly, in the 2013 film Jolly LLB. Through his witty, determined, and sometimes unconventional courtroom tactics, Jolly fights for justice while navigating the flaws of the legal system. He is set to return to franchise and is pitted against Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 3. 

Yami Gautam has portrayed lawyer twice on screen. In OMG 2, she played Kamini Maheshwari, a lawyer opposing inclusion on sex education in academics. Whereas, in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Yami played the role of Gulnaar, a lawyer fighting against the corrupt power system and advocating for justice.

In the film Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar portrays Sir C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and nationalist who took on the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film also starred Rani Mukerji and R Madhavan.

In Pink (2016), Amitabh Bachchan played Deepak Sehgal, a retired lawyer who comes out of seclusion to defend three young women falsely implicated in a criminal case. The film is a subtle commentary on the stereotypes women are subject to.

In Veer-Zaara (2004), Rani Mukerji played Saamiya Siddiqui, a Pakistani lawyer who takes up the case of Veer Pratap Singh (Shah Rukh Khan), an Indian prisoner falsely accused of being a spy and helps him reunite with his ladylove Zara (Preity Zinta).

Paresh Rawal played Kanjibhai Mehta in OMG, a shopkeeper who files a lawsuit against God after his shop is destroyed due to an earthquake. He delivered a compelling courtroom drama with social message. 

Sunny Deol’s explosive courtroom delivery, especially his iconic 'Tareekh pe Tareekh' dialogue—remains one of Bollywood’s most remembered legal moments. His role as the fierce lawyer Govind was a righteous fight for a woman seeking justice in a patriarchal society.

Anil Kapoor starrer Meri Jung was released in 1985, which was directed by Subhash Ghai. In this film, Anil Kapoor played the role of a lawyer, who proves the false allegations against his family in the court. 

In 2004 release Aitraaz, Kareena played the role of lawyer Priya Saxena Malhotra, who argues on behalf of her husband Raj Malhotra (Akshay Kumar) after he gets framed by Sonia Roy (Priyanka Chopra) in a false sexual harassment case. 

The 2012 biographical drama film Shahid is directed by Hansal Mehta. It features the life of Shahid Azmi, a lawyer and a human rights activist who was assassinated in 2010. 

Akshaye Khanna played Advocate Tarun Saluja, a sharp and ambitious lawyer defending a film director accused of rape under Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code.

In Mulk (2018), Taapsee Pannu played Aarti Mohammed, a defense lawyer who stands by her in-laws when they are accused of supporting terrorism challenging societal bias and prejudices.
