Ahead of its much-awaited release, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 has been cleared by the CBFC with an A rating, but only after making as many as 21 changes in the final cut. As per the official list leaked online, about 1 minute and 34 seconds of visuals have been removed, along with several other modifications. A separate slate reading "This film includes disturbing content, and viewer discretion is strongly recommended" has been added. Similarly, a separate slate for drug disclaimer as well as a static drug disclaimer for the visuals of drugs, was inserted.
Some abusive words and inappropriate words were replaced. Additionally, a name was also replaced.
The visuals of hitting the head with a hammer, beheading and kicking, hitting the head with cement blocks and smashing the eye were reduced.
The entire English subtitles were corrected as per the dialogues, and the inappropriate text was deleted. Similarly, subtitle text was inserted for all songs, wherever it occurs in the film.
An official permission letter to CBFC for the usage of the Prime Minister references and news footage in the film was submitted.
The text was rectified by replacing the word 'Lahore' with 'Delhi' in the information text. Similarly, the entire script was corrected as per the visuals, dialogues and lyrics of the film and suggested modifications.
An Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) certificate was submitted for the visuals of animals in the film.
