Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with longtime beau Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, 2024. The couple dated for 7 years before taking the plunge.

Their marriage was an intimate affair with close friends and family members in attendance and took place at actresses Bandra residnece. It was followed by a star-studded reception.

Ever since the couple got married, they have dished out couple goals by sharing adorable pics. From travelling to building a house together, they have come a long way.

Sonakshi Sinha shared a heartwarming picture featuring her husband Zaheer Iqbal and her father, Shatrughan Sinha. Calling them “the only men that matter,” she wished Zaheer a happy birthday with a sweet note.

Salman Khan played cupid between Sonakshi and Zaheer as the actors first crossed paths at his residence. Gradually, they fell in love, and Sonakshi admitted her feelings to Zaheer. 

Zaheer in a recent interview shared, "We met at Galaxy one evening when a few of us just chilled together, and that was our first interaction. But the first time we really spent a lot of time with each other was on June 23, 2017 (hence, we chose that date for our wedding)."

The actor continued, "There was a screening of Tubelight and an afterparty, where we ended up spending five hours together. We kept chatting, and suddenly, we turned around and were like... where did everyone else go? We knew that day there was something special here."

Sonakshi recently revealed that their relationship too faced a turbulent phase, wherein they resorted to couples therapy. “Just when we were three years into the relationship, we had a phase where we just wanted to pull each other’s hair out," she shared. “No matter what we did, we just couldn’t understand each other’s perspective," she shared.

The actress hid her relationship for 3 years from her parents. She did it to avoid scrutiny arounf her interfaith relationship.

Reacting to chatter around her interfaith marriage, the actress admitted that she was confused why people cared so much. She said, “I don’t know why everyone was so hot and bothered. It’s all just noise, honestly."

Apart from their interfaith wedding, the couple has repeatedly grabbed headlines over pregnancy rumors. Although the actress has debunked them several times, Zaheer left everyone in splits by joking about the claims during an outing.
