Independence Day 2025: As the country celebrates its 78th year of Independence, several celebrities took to social media to share pictures from their celebrations. Bollywood celebs extend Independence Day wishes

Suniel Shetty celebrated the day by sharing a video in which he is proudly spending time with Indian armed forces and hoisting flag. He wrote, “No force like our Armed Forces. No pride like being Indian. Saluting the bravehearts who safeguard our nation and ensure that India breathes free.”

On the special day, Sonal Bendre vouches for Independence of stray dogs as well and Delhi SC orders. She wrote, “Freedom should not be selective.”

Rajkummar Rao shared a picture of him proudly gazing the Indian flag. He marked the occasion by expressing gratitude to Indian Armed Forces for their unwavering courage, dedication, and selfless sacrifices in protecting us and our nation.

Priyanka Chopra kept her message simple yet powerful, writing HappyIndependenceDay alongside a video of the national flag waving proudly.

Sonu Sood shared a series of throwback pictures from ‘Fateh’ days when he visited the Attari – Wagah Border. The actor was holding a tricolour and was also seen posing with the soldiers in the photos.

Akshay Kumar dropped a picture with “real-life heroes" and appreciated those who clean Mumbai’s beaches. “Freedom feels brighter when we care for the ground beneath our feet. Was enjoying beachside volleyball when I met these real-life heroes keeping our beaches clean… all smiles, all heart," he wrote.

Hrithik Roshan penned an empowering note, saying, “Today, we celebrate the strength, freedom, and courage that resides in all of us. Happy Independence Day, everyone!”

Nimrat Kaur, who hails from an army background proudly posed with her nani and shared how she always claims, ‘There is no country greater than India’. The actress poses with Indian flag.

Kangana Ranaut marked the occasion by sharing a video of herself waving the tricolour and discussing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech from the Red Fort.
