15 Oscar-nominated films to be screened in India from Feb 20, see list

As part of the Oscars Film Festival 2026, PVR INOX will present a strong lineup of Best Picture nominees, including Hamnet, One Battle After Another, Sinners, Frankenstein, Marty Supreme, The Secret Agent, Bugonia, F1, and Train Dreams. These films represent a wide spectrum of genres and creative voices, reflecting the depth and diversity of storytelling recognised by the Academy this year. The festival will screen 15 Oscar-nominated films across 58 cinemas in 23 cities

The Smashing Machine 

The movie focuses on Mark Kerr's career highs in the UFC and PRIDE FC during the late 1990s, alongside his personal struggles with painkiller addiction and a tumultuous relationship with his wife, Dawn Staples. The film has been praised for its raw, authentic style and strong performances

Song Sung Blue 

Directed by Craig Brewer, Song Sung Blue dramatises the lives of Mike and Claire Sardina, a couple who formed the tribute act "Lightning & Thunder"

Elio 

The movie follows Elio Solís, an imaginative boy struggling to fit in on Earth, who accidentally makes contact with an intergalactic organization called the Communiverse. Beamed into space, he must navigate cosmic crises and form bonds with eccentric lifeforms while pretending to be our planet's leader

Sinners

The film follows twin brothers who return to their Mississippi hometown after years in the Chicago criminal underworld, only to encounter a supernatural threat

The Secret Agent 

A critically acclaimed neo-noir political thriller film directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, starring Wagner Moura as Armando, a former professor who becomes a target of the Brazilian military dictatorship in the 1970s. This adaptation uses the original novel's themes to explore the political turmoil in Brazil during that era

Avatar: Fire and Ash 

Avatar: Fire and Ash continues the story of the Sully family (Jake Sully and Neytiri) as they face the ongoing conflict with the human RDA forces and grapple with grief after the death of their eldest son, Neteyam. A major new plot point is their encounter with the Ash People (Mangkwan clan), a fire-wielding Na'vi tribe with a hardened philosophy who have turned their backs on their deity, Eywa

Formula One 

The story follows Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a former F1 driver who comes out of retirement after a 30-year absence to join the fictional APXGP team and mentor a promising rookie, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). He gets a second chance to prove himself and compete at the highest level of motorsport

One Battle After Another 

Bob is a washed-up revolutionary who lives in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited and self-reliant daughter, Willa. When his evil nemesis resurfaces and Willa goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her as both father and daughter battle the consequences of their pasts

Arco 

Forbidden from time-traveling until he is 12, a curious Arco steals his sister’s rainbow travel cloak and light-refracting crystal. His maiden voyage goes awry, and he crash-lands in the year 2075 a period of environmental peril marked by wildfires and extreme weather

Jurrasic World Rebirth 

The film is a standalone sequel set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion (2022). Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, the story returns to the survival-horror tone of the first film

Bugonia

The film follows Teddy Gatz (Plemons), a conspiracy-obsessed beekeeper who, with his cousin Don (Aidan Delbis), kidnaps the CEO of a major pharmaceutical company, Michelle Fuller (Stone), convinced she is an alien tasked with destroying the Earth's bee population and humanity itself

Marty Supreme 

Marty Supreme is a sports-comedy-drama that follows the story of a fictional character named Marty Mauser (played by Timothée Chalamet), an aspiring table tennis champion and wily hustler from New York City in the 1950s. The film has received critical acclaim, becoming A24's highest-grossing film and earning multiple Academy Award nominations

Weapons 

The story follows a community in the aftermath of a bizarre incident where seventeen children from the same classroom all mysteriously run away on the same night at the same time, leaving the community in fear and suspicion. The film is structured in a non-linear way, following multiple points of view to tell the story of the inexplicable trauma

Zootopia 2

A week after becoming official partners, Judy and Nick's clashing personalities cause friction. During a smuggling investigation, they encounter a pit viper named Gary De'Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan). When the powerful Lynxley family frames the duo, they must go undercover to clear their names, explore new areas of the city like Marsh Market, and uncover a long-buried conspiracy about Zootopia's founding that led to the reptiles' exile

Hamnet 

The story interweaves the love story of Agnes and William with the tragic events of 1596 when their son Hamnet dies, likely from the bubonic plague. The novel explores the family's grief and how this loss may have influenced the writing of Hamlet
