Leonardo DiCaprio to Anurag Kashyap, film celebrities named in Epstein Files and their response

The Epstein files refer to a collection of court documents, flight logs, contact books, depositions, and unsealed records linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, made public over the years through investigations and legal proceedings in the US. These files have drawn global attention as they contain names of politicians, business leaders, academics, and celebrities who were either socially or professionally connected to Epstein. Importantly, the presence of a name in the Epstein files does not imply criminal wrongdoing, and courts have repeatedly clarified that many individuals were mentioned without any allegation of illegal activity

Epstein Files

Leonardo DiCaprio

His name appears in the documents when a witness was asked if they had met him. There’s no evidence he knew Epstein or visited his properties. DiCaprio's representative has denied any involvement with Epstein and said he has never met him

Tony Hawk

A professional skateboarder, his name was linked in some released materials through an unverified email claim about a wedding on Epstein’s island. Hawk strongly denied the claim, calling it “misinformation,” clarifying his wedding was never on Epstein’s island, and explaining the confusion

Cate Blanchett

Her name was brought up only once in testimony. Blanchett has personally denied any connection to Epstein

Cameron Diaz

Named in the documents in a similar way to DiCaprio and Blanchett. Her representatives said she never met Epstein nor had any association with him

Bruce Willis

The Die Hard star was listed among other Hollywood figures in some compilations, but no evidence of wrongdoing or interaction with Epstein beyond a mention

Stephen Colbert

The popular TV host's name arises in emails because an Epstein associate was a fan of his show, not due to any personal relationship. Colbert mocked the listing on his show, joking about how he ended up in the files and satirizing the odd nature of the reference

Anurag Kashyap

Named as “a Bollywood guy” in a set of email exchanges with no evidence of interaction or wrongdoing.

Responding to the same, he told Hindustan Times, “I’ve no clue about this. I get invitations as a speaker, about 15 a month. I rarely respond. Also, I have never been to Beijing in my life!”

“It’s some random email, that’s self-explanatory. The clickbaits in my name are more popular than my films.”

George Lucas

The filmmaker behind the popular Star Wars franchise was listed among other Hollywood figures in some compilations, but no evidence of wrongdoing or interaction with Epstein beyond a mention.

Jon Stewart

He is an American comedian, writer, producer, director, political commentator, actor, and television host. His name appeared due to an email reference suggesting him for a potential project, not a personal link to Epstein

Kevin Spacey

The Academy award-winner actor reportedly appears in the files; previous unrelated claims noted flight logs but no connection to criminal activity is established. He is yet to make a comment on his name being mentioned in the list
