Kalyani Priyadarshan is an Indian actress who has worked predominantly in Malayalam films, in addition to a few Tamil and Telugu films.
She was born on 5 April 1993 in Chennai. Currently she is 32 years old.
Interestingly, she is the daughter of acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan, known for directing films like Hera Pheri, Hungama, De Dana Dan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and several others.
Her mother Lissy is a former actress. She also has a younger brother named Siddharth Priyadarshan.
Kalyani completed her early schooling at the Lady Andal, Chennai. Later, she studied in Singapore, where she also worked in theatre groups.
She has completed her BArch degree from Parsons School of Design, New York. And after returning to India, she attended an acting workshop at Adishakti Theatre in Pondicherry.
Kalyani started her career in showbiz by working as an assistant production designer under Sabu Cyril in the Hindi film Krrish 3 (2013). Later, in 2016 she worked as an assistant art director in the Tamil film Iru Mugan too.
She made her acting debut with the 2017 Telugu film Hello, opposite Akhil Akkineni, marking her first appearance on screen.
She earned a lot of acclaim for her performance and also received several awards for her debut.
Kalyani is a fitness enthusiast and stays in shape. She often shares pictures from the gym, working out.
Later, she appeared in several other films like Chitralahari, Ranarangam, Hero, Hridayam, Bro Daddy, Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, Varane Avashyamund among several others.
Recently, she made headlines with her performance in Lokah Chapter 1, where she plays lead role of Chandra, a mysterious woman summoned from Sweden, to Bangalore by an agent of Moothon, a shadowy figure who commands superpowered beings across the world.
