Shefali Jariwala's untimely death has shocked the country. The actress best known for her music video Kaanta Laga and for her appearance in Bugg Boss 13 allegedly passed away last night after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home. She was 42 years old at the time of her death. As we remember her, here are some lesser-known facts about her.

Shefali Jariwala was born on 15th December 1982 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
She came from a family of academicians who were keen on the actress completing her education. She completed her BE in Information Technology from Sardar Patel College of Engineering.
During an interview, she revealed that she was paid Rs 7000 for her appearance in Kaanta Laga.
She was in college when she was offered the song Kaanta Laga. Despite her father's opposition, she convinced him to allow her to feature in the song.
Shefali also did a cameo in the 2004 film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Akshay Kumar. She also featured in 2011's Kannada movie Hudugaru.
Later, she was seen in other music videos too, like Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar in 2002, and Maal Bhari Ahe remix in 2004.
Shefali was reportedly in a relationship with Harmeet Singh of the Meet Bros duo. They even tied the knot in 2009.
According to reports she had filed an FIR against her ex-husband, accusing him of assaulting and abusing her. In an interview she had revealed that he was abusive to her during the four years of marriage.
She later married her longtime boyfriend and TV actor Parag Tyagi in 2014.
Shefali and Parag participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2012, and again in Nach Baliye 7 in 2015.
Shefali was a fitness freak and often posted pictures from the gym or doing yoga.
In 2016, she started a professional training and coaching company WYN, with her sister.
She was seen entering the Bigg Boss 13 house in 2019 as a wild card contestant.
The actress once revealed that she suffered from epilepsy and had got seizures in classrooms, backstage and even on the road, which affected her confidence.
She was last seen on the show Shaitani Rasmein last year, which marked her television debut. While working on the show, her father was diagnosed with colon cancer.
