While the world celebrates International Friendship Day on July 31, India celebrates the day on the following Sunday in August, and this year is no different

Being a cultural tradition among school and college students across the city, a group of students were seen tying friendship bands to each other as they bring in the day at Marine Drive

With the popular South Mumbai hotspot being surrounded by colleges, it is a pleasant sight to see students indulge in marking their friendship with each other with the colourful bands

While college students and corporate employees celebrated it during the week, school children will take the opportunity to make the most of it on their holiday

While many tie friendship bands, others will be spending the day with their best friends and groups by indulging in good food
