The incident took place at station road in Bhandup (West), a busy area with regular pedestrian movement
According to preliminary information, the bus crashed into pedestrians while it was reversing. The exact circumstances were being examined
Several emergency agencies were immediately rushed to the spot. These included the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), local police, BEST bus staff and 108 Ambulance services
The bus driver has been taken into custody and further investigations were underway, said an official
