Visuals from his residence showed a crowd of mourners as his family stood before his portrait, grieving their profound loss

Kunder is survived by his parents. His remains arrived at Mumbai Airport and were subsequently transported to his home

His remains stayed at his home until 1 pm and were then taken to the cemetery

Earlier, actor Vikrant Massey expressed his condolences, stating that Kunder was a "family friend"

On June 12, a London-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a hostel complex of BJ Medical College in the Meghani Nagar area of Gujarat's Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport

The doomed flight was under the command of Captain Sumeet Sabharwal and First Officer Kunder

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had earlier stated that Captain Sabharwal had a significant 8,200 hours of flying experience, while First Officer Kunder had 1,100 hours
