The ashes were distributed to party leaders from various districts across Maharashtra so they could carry out immersion rituals in their respective areas

The distribution of ashes is part of the final rites of the departed soul

Ajit Pawar passed away earlier this week in a tragic plane crash near Baramati in Pune district of Maharashtra

His death has led to an outpouring of condolences and tributes from political leaders and the public
