The demolition drive was carried out along Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road in Mulund (West)

Following the action, around 1,100 square metres of land has been cleared, officials said

The operation was conducted by the BMC’s ‘T’ Ward under the supervision of Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Zone 6) Santoshkumar Dhonde and led by Assistant Commissioner Yogita Kolhe

The civic body used four JCB machines and seven dumpers, along with other equipment, to remove the illegal constructions

Around 70 civic officials and staff members were present during the drive. Adequate police security was also deployed to maintain law and order
