The BMC Election 2026 comes after a long delay of over 34 months since the previous term ended in February 2022 without elected corporators

Along with Mumbai, the State Election Commission (SEC) has announced elections for 28 other municipal corporations in Maharashtra

A total of 1.34 crore voters are eligible to cast their votes at 10,231 polling centres across Mumbai

The Maharashtra State Election Commission has appointed 64,375 officials and staff to manage the electoral process
