Southern steps at the Kandivali station have been closed due to building work on the footbridge
The reason why commuters were seen crossing the railway tracks at Kandivali station was because of the heavy congestion at the recently constructed foot-over bridge
Heavy congestion on the stairs of the newly constructed bridge almost created a stampede-like situation, causing inconvenience for passengers at Kandivali station
However, a banner on the southern steps stated, "The staircase has been closed for foot-over bridge construction beginning Tuesday, May 20, 2025. We apologise for the inconvenience."
Although the situation at Kandivali station appeared scary, passengers somehow managed to get past the congested area
