The drizzle, part of a wider weather pattern affecting Mumbai, came after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for the city. PIC/ KIRTI SURVE PARADE

The light rain offered a refreshing pause rather than a disruption for locals

The yellow alert forecast for Mumbai includes thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, moderate to heavy rainfall, and gusty winds reaching 30–40 kmph at isolated locations

Similar weather conditions have been predicted for Thane and Palghar districts

According to IMD’s latest Mumbai weather update, the city and its suburbs are likely to experience a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of moderate rainfall throughout the day

Residents have been advised to remain cautious, particularly during Monday morning peak travel hours, due to the risk of sudden downpours and thunderstorms
